Accounts: All accounts are to be settled on presentation of the folio prior to your departure unless prior arrangements have been made to forward your accounts to your Company. For your information, your bill is shown in US$.  

ADAPTERS/ MULTI-PLUGS: Should you wish to borrow an adapter or multi Plug please contact the Front office.

Advance Reservation: If you wish to make a reservation for your return visit to the Pegasus Hotel Guyana, please book with the Front Desk or go to

AIR CONDITIONING: All our rooms are air-conditioned and each is fitted with individual controls to adjust the temperature. Please do not leave door open while the unit is operating, as this will cause condensation and decrease the efficiency of the air condition in your room.

AIRLINE TICKET RECONFIRMATION: Flights must be confirmed 72 hours prior to departure.

AIRPORT: The Cheddi Jagan International Airport at Timehri is located 27 miles from the Hotel. We recommend that you check-in at least two hours before your flight departure. There is a departure tax to be paid at the Airport. Please check with the Front Desk for the exact amount.

ANNIVERSARIES & BIRTHDAYS: We would like to make your celebrations truly memorable. We will be happy to assist you to surprise your loved ones.   

ATM: There is an ATM on the compound. The machine dispenses Guyanese Dollars only. 

BABY COTS: Housekeeping is happy to provide you a baby cot.

BAGGAGE: Our Bell Desk at would be happy to assist you.


The Latino Bar and Courtyard is located in the lobby of the hotel, enjoy a wide selection of wines, cheese platters, and delicious flatbreads while savoring the warm ambience. Ext: 6821

BANQUETS: Our Banquet and Conference Coordinator will be more than pleased to help you arrange any Meeting, Cocktail Party, Exhibition, Business Dinner, Gala, Wedding etc. Outside catering can also be provided. Please contact the Banquet Department on Ext: 6810

BREAKFAST: Breakfast may be taken in your room either by filling up the breakfast door knob the night before or by simply calling rooms service on Ext: 224 we also serve Breakfast in The Aromas Café from 6.30 am to 10 am every day.

CASHIER: The Front Desk handles all cashiering services. We are pleased to assist you with the exchange of foreign currency and traveler’s cheques. Room accounts are settled at the Front Desk.

CHECK-IN TIME: Our standard check-in time is 14:00.

CHECK-OUT TIME: Our standard check-out time is 12 noon. Should you wish to keep your room after that time, every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Please contact Reception on Ext: 0. Late check-out may result in an additional Charge. 

CHEQUES: Personal Cheques are not acceptable as payment in our Hotel 

CONFERENCE FACILITIES: A variety of Meeting Rooms are available. For Enquiries please call Ext: 6810 

CREDIT: Guests staying with us for longer than seven days are asked to settle their accounts on a weekly basis.

CREDIT CARDS: We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, Mater Card, and American Express. 


Aromas Café Our Café offers an exciting menu with a wide selection of both Local and International Cuisines. We serve a Breakfast Buffet every day from 6.30 am to 10 am. We also have a Lunch Buffet from Sunday to Friday-12 noon to 3 pm. Ext: 6824

Ignite Bar and Grill: The Poolside Restaurant is open for Lunch and Dinner with an exciting menu of light snacks, entrées, Pastas, Pizzas and Desserts. Ext: 6822

DO NOT DISTURB: Please hang the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign outside your Room door. If you do not wish to get any phone calls please advise the Operator.

DOCTOR: The Front Desk can assist you by calling a private doctor or the local hospital. 

DRINKING WATER: Two bottles of water are provided with our compliments in your Room and are replenished each day.

DUTY MANAGER: The Duty Manager is available 24 hours at the Front Desk. Please feel free to contact the Manager at Ext: 0

ELECTRIC CURRENT: The voltage used in the Hotel is 220 volt. The shaver socket in your bathroom is equipped for both 220 V and 110 V 

EMERGENCY: All rooms are equipped with a smoke detector. In case of fire or other emergencies, please remain calm and contact the operator (dial 0) immediately.  Please take time to read through the Fire Procedure in the Service Directory.

ENTERTAINMENT: There is live entertainment at the Pool Side every Friday and Saturday. 

ENVIRONMENT: Pegasus Hotel Guyana supports the County’s efforts to protect our environment. We request you to assist by preserving water. If you do not wish to have your Room Linen changed every day, please advise the Front Desk or call Housekeeping. 

FIRE ALARM: We would like to inform you that, every Wednesday at 10 am, there would be a routine Fire Alarm Test consisting of 3 short rings.

FLOWERS: Should you wish to order Flowers for your room or for any Special occasion, kindly contact the Front Desk on Ext 0

 FOOD AND BEVERAGE OPTIONS: In our Hotel we have two restaurants, a bar and Pool Side dining, you are sure to enjoy a variety of wonderful experiences. You will find detailed information in the Dining section.

Enjoy sumptuous Meals in the Restaurants, by the Pool Side or gardens.

Should you decide to dine in the privacy of your Room, a choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner options are available.

FOREIGN CURRENCY EXCHANGE: Exchange rates are available at the Front Desk, where you can exchange the following currencies:

Other International currencies can be exchanged at local Banks.

FUMIGATION: The Hotel fumigates the grounds every day between 5 pm and 7 pm. should you need any assistance please advise the Duty Manager at Ext: 0

GOLF: Please contact the Front Desk to book you a Tee Time at our local Golf Club. Lusignan Golf Club: 226-5660. Charges Approximately G$2,000 for 9 Holes and G$2,000 for Clubs and Bag.

GOVERNMENT TAX: There is a 16% VAT applied on your Room, F&B and Other Services. The amount would reflect at the bottom of your Room Folio.

 GYMNASIUM: The Gym is located by the pool side. The facility is open from 6 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 6 am to 7 pm on Saturday.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES: At Pegasus we are dedicated to providing you the highest standard of service in a professional atmosphere. We provide each occupied room with 2 services each day. A turndown service is provided in the evening. Should you wish to arrange an alternative or specific time for any services, please call Housekeeping at Ext: 225

INTERNET: The entire Hotel is WI-FI connected. A nominal Charge is levied for the use. Kindly contact the Front Desk for a password and any technical assistance that your might require.

JOGGING PATHS: A jogging track is located in the nearby National Park. Please contact the Front Desk for more information.

KIDS AREA: We have a Kids play area adjacent to the Swimming Pool. Children must be supervised by Parents or Guardians at all time in the Play Area. 

LAUNDRY AND PRESSING SERVICE: The Hotel operates its own laundry. We are pleased to supply this service from 8 am to 5 pm daily except Sundays and National Holidays. The laundry bag and list are stored in the main cupboard of your Room. Please fill in the form place them in the bag and call the Housekeeping for a Pick-up. Items sent before 9 am will be returned the same day. Items sent after 9 am would be returned the next day. We offer Express Service.

LOST AND FOUND: Please call the Housekeeping at Ext: 225

LOST LUGGAGE: In the event of luggage being lost, please advise the Front Desk and we would be happy to assist you in any way we can.

LUGGAGE SERVICE: Please contact the Front Desk at Ext: 0

MAIL AND MESSAGES: Outgoing mail may be left at the Front Desk or deposited in the mail box located in the Lobby. Incoming mail will be delivered to your room by the Bell Desk. Stamps can be purchased at the Front Desk.

MASSAGE: A massage can be arranged upon your request. Please contact the Front Desk at Ext: 0

MOBILE TELEPHONES: Guest can purchase credit for their mobile phones from the Front Desk.

NEWS PAPER: A complimentary newspaper is delivered to your room daily.

NON SMOKING POLICY: Smoking is only permitted in designated areas throughout the property. Appropriate Non-Smoking signage will be displayed at all times at the entrances to and within the hotel, including guest rooms. Upon check-in, guests are required to sign the “Non-Smoking Policy Acknowledgement Form” and will be advised of the following “Smoke Elimination Fee.” 

POSTAGE: Postage stamps are available at the Front Desk

PRIVACY: If you wish your privacy not to be disturbed: Hang the Do Not Disturb sign outside your main door.

PRIVATE PARTIES: We will be happy to arrange private Cocktails, Luncheons and Dinners with specially designed menus. Please contact the Banquets at Ext: 6810

RELIGIOUS SERVICES: For location and times of religious services please contact the Front Desk at Ext: 0

ROOM SERVICE: Available 24 hours. Kindly look at the menu in this Directory.

SAFE DEPOSIT: For your convenience, an in-Room safe is placed in the closet of your Room with written instructions. Please note that the Hotel does not take responsibility for any missing valuables. Guests are requested to empty the safe and leave it unlocked upon departure.

SECURITY: For security reasons the Hotel’s external lights are switched on from sunset to sunrise. In addition, we have security staff on patrol throughout the day and night. Please contact Front Desk should you have any concern.

SERVICE CHARGE: We levy no Service Charge.

SHAVER SOCKET: The shaver socket is located by the vanity counter. It can be switched from 110 to 220 volts.

SHOPPING IN THE LOBBY: Beauty Salon, Wine Shop and Convenience Store. 

STATIONERY: Writing paper, envelopes are located in the front pocket of this Directory. If you require additional supplies please contact Housekeeping at Ext: 225

SUN PROTECTION: Due to its close location to the equator, we recommend you to wear T-shirt, hat and sun protection at all times. Should you wish to purchase any sun protection, you may find sun block and after sun lotion in the Convenience Store.

SWIMMING POOL: Our fresh water out doors swimming pool is located next to the Browne’s Cafe. The swimming pool is open from 08:00 to 20:00.  Please refrain from using this facility for diving purposes.  We have no life Guard. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by Parents or Guardians. Kindly take time to read the Pool safety instructions located by the Pool Shower area. 

TAXI SERVICE: The Hotel has taxis available 24 hours at the Hotel Entrance. 

TELEPHONES: You will find a list of internal phone numbers, instructions to dial outside, International calls in the Telephone Directory. The Country does not have a Toll Free or collect call facility.

TIPPING: At your discretion

WAKE UP CALL: Kindly dial the Operator on Ext 0 to arrange for a wake Up Call.

WATER: We recommend that you drink only Bottled water.


Introduction: At the Pegasus Hotel Guyana we have made every attempt to make your stay safe and secure. Our Property is equipped with Fire alarm, Smoke Detectors, CCTV and 24 hours Security patrol. The Front Desk has a copy of the Hotel Emergency Plan should you wish to see it.



  • Located the Emergency Exits on your Floor
  • Count the number of doors between your door and the closest exit
  • Locate the nearest fire extinguisher and Fire Alarm on your Floor
  • Find the OFF switch on your Air Conditioner
  • Read the Emergency Exit Floor plan behind your Guest room door 


  • If you discover fire or smoke, please remain calm.
  • Call the Front Desk at Ext:

  • The exact nature of the trouble (e.g. fire, sparks, etc.) (What)

  • How serious the fire appears.                                           (How)

  • If the fire endangers your life or the lives of others, close (but do not lock) all doors and windows to contain the fire and immediately leave the area.


  • Test the door for heat before opening. If the door is hot, wet a bath towel and place it at the bottom of your door to prevent smoke/heat from entering your room.
  • Open door slightly if it is cool, look for smoke. If there is thick smoke, close the door and stay in the room. PLEASE DO NOT DOUBLE LOCK YOUR DOOR.
  • Exit if there is no smoke outside and TAKE YOUR ROOM KEY WITH YOU.
  • Feel the walls of the corridor while exiting. While exiting keep close to the wall and low on the floor. The air is cooler and cleaner near the floor.
  • Exit with caution. Test the exit floor for heat before opening it. Look for thick smoke in the stair well. If there is thick smoke, try the other exit or return to your room.
  • If the stairwell is safe, exit the building.


  • Stay Calm. Do not panic, Relax and think clearly
  • Remain where you are. Your room is the safest place.
  • Turn off the Air Conditioner to prevent smoke from entering your room
  • Stuff wet clothes under the door to prevent smoke from entering your room
  • Stuff air vents with wet clothes
  • Inform the front desk that you are unable to leave the room.


  • Do not smoke in bed
  • Do not leave lighted cigarettes in ashtray or empty the ashtray with a lit cigarette.
  • Remove appliance plug from electrical outlet when not in use
  • Do not splash water on electrical outlets
  • Do not use electrical appliances while standing on wet floor
  • Do not cook in the room
  • Do not burn candles in the room
